Are you concerned about speeding in the village?
Community Speed Watch (CSW) are seeking volunteers from Flackwell Heath to help run more sessions in the village.
It’s run by Flackwell residents who receive training and equipment to enable them to provide as little as an hour a month to run sessions across the village at times suitable for them, any day of the week or weekend, with who they want from the team.
If speeding in the village is a concern for you and you would like to actually make a difference to take action then please get in touch at hello@fhra.co.uk to understand more about what’s involved. CSW involves a minimum of two people to monitor the camera while it operates so the actual time spent can be very sociable. It’s easy to operate and requires no technical or previous experience.
CSW has been running again in Flackwell Heath for over a year. Our village signs now inform drivers entering the village that Flackwell is an active CSW area. In the past year over 250 speeding drivers through Flackwell Heath have been reported to the police using the speed camera videos. CSW have noted a reduction in speeding offences and particular hot spots in the village. If you could spare a little time to give back to the community we would love to hear from you.
